Elevate Your Life with Daily Exercise!

Hello friends,

Welcome to my first ever weekly email. This is my first time writing a newsletter, so it fells a bit weird, but as the saying goes “Life begins outside of your comfort zone”, so I’ll treat this newsletter as an experiment with the hopes of motivation people.

The Topic of todays issue is how to elevate your life with Daily Exercise. I remember a couple of years ago I was sad, unathletic and unhealthy, but as I started going to the gym more often, I saw changes with body and my lifestyle. Exercising really helped me both physically, as a got stronger and healthier, and mentally, as I felt happier with myself. I realized that my initial situation is quite common amongst humans, as many don’t exercise at all, so I thought i would share some tips, how I started my fitness journey, with the hopes of helping you start yours!

At first I’ll go about explaining the health benefits of regular exercise by quoting the the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

“Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.”

So now that we understand why regular exercise is important, we can move on to my tips, how you should start your journey. It’s actually quite easy, the only hard part is to motivate yourself to start, and to keep on going, so here’s how I did it:

  1. Set realistic goals: Begin with small, achievable goals and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts over time. Let’s take running as an example. Don’t start by running 10 miles each day, but rather start with a weekly goal of 1 mile, which you can split into a quarter mile on four days of the week, and slowly increase the distance per week. This way it’s easier to stay consistent and remember, consistency is key!

  2. Choose activities you enjoy: Find physical activities that you genuinely enjoy, such as walking, cycling, dancing, or swimming. This way, exercise won't feel like a chore, but rather a pleasurable experience, so don’t force yourself to spend hours in the gym if you don’t like it, just go for a daily walk if you enjoy walking.

  3. Create a schedule: Set aside dedicated time each week for your exercise, so if you work a 5 day job, then maybe it’s best to exercise longer on your off-days and only for a short period of time during your work-days.

  4. Start slow and progress gradually: As I’ve already stated, it’s best to start slow, with low-impact activities and gradually increase the intensity and duration as your fitness improves.

Remember, the path to a healthier and more fulfilling life begins with small steps. Incorporating regular exercise into your routine will not only enhance your physical health but also have a positive impact on your mental well-being.

I hope these tips help you elevate your life with regular exercise!

Stay active, stay healthy!

Best regards,

Marius
